Honors
Highly qualified students in Bentley’s incoming class are invited to participate in the Honors Program, a four-year program of study that provides additional academic rigor and co-curricular experiences. Bentley students who rank in approximately the top ten percent of the entering class are invited to participate in the program based on the quality of their high school curriculum, grade point average, standardized test scores and recommendations. Participants select two seminar courses each semester that offer extra intellectual challenge. Early on in the program, students select these two courses from the General Education curriculum, and later choose from course offerings in their major. Honors courses address a wide array of subjects in a seminar setting that promotes discussion and debate. In addition to honors courses, students in the program attend course-related field trips, theater outings and advising events, and hear from special Honors Program speakers.
