Recent Microsoft Edge Browser 404 Error in Blackboard

Sometimes a 404 error (page or file not found) occurs when opening a Microsoft Office file in Blackboard using the Microsoft Edge browser.  This is a very recent occurrence (mid-November 2021).

This ServiceNow help page describes one workaround in Microsoft Edge for this issue.  Also, the error does not occur in other browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), so they can still be used in Blackboard as usual without any issues.
