Website Governance Policy Update
We are updating our website governance policies, and all users will be required to review and accept the changes. Key updates include:
- Third-Party JavaScript – Prior approval is now required for any third-party JavaScript. Unauthorized scripts may be removed.
- Student Workers' Content – Managers are responsible for overseeing content quality and must report student departures to ensure proper access management.
Soon, when you log into bentley.edu as an editor, a message will prompt you to review and accept the updated policy. Once you submit your response, the message will disappear.
New Accessibility Checker Module
We have also introduced an Accessibility Checker Module on the site. In editing mode, certain elements will be highlighted with a red outline, indicating potential issues such as:
- Missing alt tags on images or iframes
- Empty headings
These accessibility alerts are only visible to site editors and do not appear on live pages. They are not urgent and can be addressed at your convenience. Here is an example:
