User experience design is an incredibly rewarding field, with above average job satisfaction according to U.S. News & World’s 2014 Best Jobs Report. Not only do you have the satisfaction of building cutting edge web and interface experiences, but also the opportunity to wear many different hats. Average Annual Salary: $81,000
Usability analysts are the problem-solvers. If there is a user experience issue, they apply research insights to analyze and correct the problem. They also use research and usability principles to continually evaluate and improve upon the customer experience.

Information architects build and optimize the information infrastructure and how it is presented to users.
