Bentley and its media partner, Bloomberg Radio, broadcast a new edition of its “Millennials in the Workplace” series on Bloomberg’s “Taking Stock” radio program Wednesday, October 29. Hosted by Bentley President Gloria Larson and Bloomberg’s Carol Massar and Michael McKee, the series is an ongoing segment that focuses on topics related to millennial preparedness and higher education stemming from Bentley’s PreparedU Project.

The October 29 broadcast put the spotlight on service learning, civic engagement and why soft skills are so important to millennials’ success in the workplace and in life. The segment featured several guests providing their own perspective:

Opening discussion with Gloria Larson, Carol Massar and Michael McKee

Katherine Oliver, Bloomberg Philanthropies

Crissi Mann ’09, Goldman Sachs, involved with Ghana Bead Project while at Bentley

Jonathan White, Director of Bentley’s Service-Learning Center

The next edition in the series will broadcast live from the Bentley campus on November 11 and will feature both a 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. “Taking Stock” show focused on the latest survey from the PreparedU Project, and a primetime broadcast from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. The evening event will feature a  revealing conversation with two of the nation’s top CEOs, Brian Halligan from HubSpot and Larry Hughes from BNY Mellon Wealth Management, sharing their views on recruiting, retaining and motivating millennials – soon to be 75% of the national workforce.
