Kathleen Burns Kingsbury, adjunct lecturer in law, taxation, and financial planning at Bentley, will put her financial insight to work both on-air and in print for CNBC and CNBC.com. Recently appointed to the newly formed CNBC Digital Financial Advisor Council, Kingsbury is among 20 of the nation’s leading wealth managers and financial experts who will help investors and financial advisors better understand the complicated landscape of today’s financial industry.

“The creation of this impressive council is another key step for CNBC Digital as we strengthen our premier online hub for both investors and financial advisors,” said Xana Antunes, executive editor and vice president of CNBC Digital.

In addition to appearing in front of the camera, Kingsbury will contribute to CNBC.com through guest columns on hot topics, particularly in regard to financial psychology.

“I will be focusing and talking about the ‘soft side’ of finance, such as client communication, the psychology of money and how to empower women financially,” she notes. “Being invited to participate indicates a shift in how the industry as a whole views communication with clients. Understanding human and financial behavior is a must instead of a side note.”

Kingsbury is a wealth psychology expert, founder of KBK Wealth Connection, and author of several books including How to Give Financial Advice to Women (McGraw-Hill, 2012) and How to Give Financial Advice to Couples (McGraw-Hill, 2013).
