Money included 727 colleges and universities in its “Best Colleges in America” ranking. To qualify, schools must have at least 500 students, not be in financial distress and maintain a graduation rate at or above the median for schools in their category. The rankings were based on three major categories: quality of education, affordability and graduate outcomes. Bentley ranked:
-
#3 among the top 50 “Transformative Colleges.” These schools help students do better than would have been expected based on their academic and economic backgrounds.
-
#85 among the 727 “Best Colleges.” These schools “have a strong record of helping students graduate and preparing them for jobs,” according to the magazine.
-
#26 among the top 50 “Best Small Colleges.”These are the highest ranking colleges with fewer than 5,000 students.
The Money magazine honors come one week after Bentley’s career services department was named No. 1 in the country by The Princeton Review. It’s the sixth year in a row that Bentley’s career services has been ranked in the top 5 in the U.S., demonstrating Bentley's successful approach to ensuring that students thrive after graduation.
