Bentley University is partnering with the Greater Boston YMCA to support the Y Achievers Program, a national initiative dedicated to guiding young people towards their college and career goals. Through this collaboration, Bentley and the YMCA aim to cultivate the talents, self-confidence and leadership skills of local high school students.

Bentley’s multi-year investment in the program includes providing a full-tuition scholarship each year to a Y Achiever student enrolling at Bentley. In addition, students who are part of the Y Achievers program will:

  • Come to the Bentley campus for an annual visit which includes an information session, campus tour and meal.

  • Receive an invitation each year to stay overnight on campus with a host student and take part in the university’s Academic Exploration Day.

  • Have guaranteed admission for students who meet the minimum criteria (and a streamlined application process).

New Partnership with Forte Foundation Supports Women in Business Leadership

“We are thrilled to support this important program which empowers high school students as they explore diverse colleges and career pathways,” says Bentley’s Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management Donna Kendall, who is also a board member of the YMCA of Greater Boston. “Bentley and the YMCA share a commitment to helping young people reach their full potential so they can make a positive impact on their own lives, their communities and the world.”

Students who are part of the Y Achievers program attend bi-weekly meetings where they meet with mentors and hear from local professionals who share information about their careers, path to success, social activism work and more. You can find more information about the Y Achievers program here
