Bentley University is proud to announce that it has maintained both its business and accounting accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.
“It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn and maintain AACSB Accreditation,” says Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty, and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students.”
Bentley participates in the AACSB’s Continuous Improvement Review process every five years by submitting a comprehensive report and hosting a peer review team visit. In its report, the team commended Bentley for its “fusion approach” which explicitly makes the connections between business and the arts and sciences, particularly in the undergraduate curriculum. They also noted the innovative Bentley MBA, an11-month global program in which students pursue four 10-week modules in a collaborative, studio-based setting, and put learning into practice through projects with companies and other host organizations across the globe.
AACSB’s mission is to advance quality management education worldwide through accreditation, thought leadership, and value-added services. AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs. It currently accredits 727 collegiate business schools across 49 countries; 182 institutions hold an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.
