Bentley University received an honorable mention at the 11th annual College Fed Challenge held at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. on December 2, 2014.
Under the direction of Bentley economics professors David Gulley and Aaron Jackson, the Bentley team represented the First Federal Reserve District after winning the regional competition on November 7. In the region competition, Bentley competed with teams from Roger Williams, Trinity, Boston University, Colby Sawyer and Bryant. Bentley went on to defeat Dartmouth, Harvard, Bryant and Boston College in the final round to advance to the national competition in Washington, D.C.

Sponsored by the Federal Reserve System, the team competition for undergraduate college students is based on a monetary policy debate of the Federal Open Market Committee. They are judged by a panel of Federal Reserve economists on economic analysis, responses to questions, teamwork and presentation.
