Bentley placed second in the regional 2011 College Fed Challenge, an annual monetary policy debate competition for undergraduate college students, held on November 9 and sponsored by the Federal Reserve System and select regional Federal Reserve districts. Bentley was among 22 teams --including Boston College, Boston University, Brown University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tufts University and Yale University -- that competed for the Boston Federal Reserve District title.
Under the advisement of Bentley economics professors David Gulley and Aaron Jackson, team members gave a 15-minute presentation on the state of the economy, monetary policy and policy recommendations, followed by a 15-minute question and answer period with a panel of judges from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

Bentley has competed in the Fed Challenge since 2007. In 2010, Bentley placed first place in the regional competition to advance to the finals in Washington, D.C., where they won the national championship.
