As part of its continued commitment to the community, the Bentley University Police Department, in conjunction with the Waltham Police Department, will hold the 10th annual holiday toy drive for local area families in need. The program runs through December 19.

“Each year the toy drive becomes more and more successful and, through the generosity of the Bentley University community, we have collected and distributed hundreds of toys to local area children,” says Ernest Leffler, chief of police and executive director of public and environmental safety at Bentley. “We are again asking for your help to ensure a happy holiday season for many local children.”

Donations of new, unwrapped, non-violent gifts for a boy or girl between the ages of one and 16 may be dropped off at either the University Police Station or the Bookstore by December 19. Gift cards should be dropped off at the University Police Station.

The majority of items collected during the toy drive are donated to needy families around the city of Waltham. A portion of the toys collected are also donated to the Department of Children and Families for distribution in other cities around the Waltham area.
