Gary Hirshberg, Chairman, President, and CEO of Stonyfield Farms, will be the keynote speaker at the 17th Raytheon Lecture in Business Ethics at Bentley University on Tuesday, October 18, at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilder Pavilion, Adamian Academic Center. A reception will immediately follow the program, which is free and open to the public.

Hirshberg’s presentation, “Inventing a Win-Win-Win-Win-Win Future,” will challenge the economic myths used to justify the production of cheap foods, including the heavy indirect social, nutritional, and environmental costs that come from cheap foods. He will draw on his company's 28-year history to provide insights into how to best respond to those myths in a way that brings about positive gains for all of a company’s stakeholders,

Gary Hirshberg is chairman, president and CEO of Stonyfield Farm, the world’s leading organic yogurt producer. He is the author of Stirring It Up: How to Make Money and Save the World (Hyperion Books, 2008), and is a frequent speaker on topics including sustainability, climate change, the profitability of green and socially responsible business, organic agriculture and sustainable economic development. Since 1983, Hirshberg has overseen Stonyfield’s growth, from its infancy as a seven-cow organic farming school to its current $360 million in annual sales.
