In the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings of America’s Best Colleges 2011, Bentley University is ranked #4 among “Best Regional Universities - North.” Bentley is also ranked among the Top “Best Business Programs” in the country at #57.
In the business specialties category, Bentley’s Management Information Systems ranked #17 nationally and #2 in New England. U.S. News & World Report assigns rank to the top 20 schools out of 362 in this specialty category.
Among the top Regional Universities-North, Bentley was also ranked:

o The average proportion of a graduating class who earned a degree in six years or less
• #3 Average Freshmen Retention Rate
o The average proportion of freshmen who entered the school in the fall of 2005 through fall 2008 and returned the following fall
Bentley’s graduation and retention rates have increased over the past decade, highlighting that the university is offering the classes and services students need to succeed.

o The formula is based on the relationship of the school’s academic quality to the net cost of attendance and the amount of financial aid they dispense, in the form of need-based grants and scholarships

Each year, U.S. News surveys more than 1,400 colleges and universities and ranks them according to their methodology. The rankings are based on several key measures of quality including the results of peer assessment surveys completed by top academics (25%), graduation and retention rates (25%), faculty resources (20%), student selectivity (15%), financial resources (10%) and alumni giving (5%). The peer assessment is completed by top academics such as presidents, provosts, and deans of admissions.
