Susan Brennan, associate vice president of University Career Services at Bentley, has been named to the board of directors for the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). Brennan will serve as one of two college and university representatives nationally.

NACE is the leading source of information on the employment of college graduates.  The organization forecasts hiring and trends in the job market and identifies best practices and benchmarks.  They also track starting salaries, as well as recruiting and hiring practices, and student attitudes and outcomes.

“As I embark on my upcoming year of service to NACE, I look forward to leveraging this relationship in a number of ways to benefit Bentley -- by strengthening training and professional development for our staff; continuing to innovate and provide leading-edge career education for our students; and enhancing our connections to employers so we can broaden career opportunities.  This opportunity will also help us to shape curriculum and positively impact graduate preparedness,” says Brennan.

Brennan has over 20 years of experience managing career development and employer outreach programs in business higher education. She is continually recognized for her ability to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff to improve outcomes and expand Bentley’s reputation in the global marketplace.

Under her leadership, Bentley’s undergraduate placement surveys have yielded 98% employment or graduate school plans within six months of graduation. Brennan is featured as a career expert in major media outlets including the New York Times, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, U.S. News and World Report, among others.

Established in 1956, NACE connects more than 6,300 college career services professionals at nearly 2,000 colleges and universities nationwide, more than 2,700 university relations and recruiting professionals, and the business affiliates that serve this community.
