Celebrating Commencement Together on Campus

March 10, 2022

Dear Class of 2022 and Graduate Students,

I hope your studies are going well as we approach the midway point of the semester. With spring break next week, I’m glad you’ll have the chance to enjoy a much-deserved rest to recharge for the final push to the end of the academic year — and with it, the culmination of your undergraduate career at Bentley.

Though the end of an academic journey can be bittersweet, it represents such an exciting time in your life when you’ll begin a new chapter filled with opportunity and hope. I’m glad to share today that we will be celebrating you, the Class of 2022 and the graduating class of the McCallum Graduate School of Business, in person on the football field on Saturday, May 21 for Bentley’s first on-campus commencement ceremony in three years.

I can think of no more deserving group to honor and celebrate by bringing this important tradition back to our campus. The pandemic has so significantly impacted your college and graduate experience and the way you’ve learned and interacted with your professors and peers. You were challenged over and over, and time and time again, you proved you were up to the task. You should be proud of how you have succeeded in the face of unimaginable challenges — I know that I am.

Because of your endurance and will to succeed, I know you will be prepared for anything that comes your way after you cross the stage at commencement and officially join the ranks of more than 65,000 proud Falcon alumni. No matter what your next chapter holds, you are ready to succeed.

I hope that you and your families will be able to join us to celebrate this special day. Graduates will be allowed to invite as many guests as they’d like to accompany them. This will be my first commencement as Bentley’s president, and I am so glad to be able to mark the occasion with this group of graduates. The Commencement Office will contact you in the coming days with more details about the ceremony, which will also be shared on bentley.edu/commencement.

I know that I speak for the entire Bentley community when I say that we are proud of what you have achieved these past four years. I can’t wait to recognize you and your achievements when we celebrate your class at commencement on May 21.

Most Sincerely,

President Chrite
