Celebrating Commencement at Fenway Park
A Message to the Class of 2021
Dear Class of 2021,
Last week, I shared that we would be able to celebrate you and all of your accomplishments at an in-person Commencement ceremony this year. Today, I’m pleased to share another exciting update about this year’s ceremony.
The 2021 undergraduate and graduate Commencement ceremony will take place at Fenway Park on the morning of Saturday, May 1. I am also pleased to share that all graduating students will receive two guest tickets for family members or loved ones to accompany you to the ceremony.
To achieve our goal of hosting an in-person Commencement that included guests, we needed to move our event back to the original date of May 1. We were thrilled that Fenway Park was able to accommodate us around the start of the baseball season and make a celebration of this size possible. We hope that this advanced notice allows time for you and your families to plan for the new date.
You will receive more details soon, including how to confirm your attendance, acquire your two guest tickets, and reserve your regalia. Please be on the lookout for updates from the Commencement Office and Dean of Students in the days ahead regarding these and additional logistics. I appreciate your patience as we finalize these exciting plans.
As always, we will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our community and follow all state guidelines for planning this event. All event details will also need to be approved by Fenway Park and the City of Boston, and we will be sure to keep you and your families updated as new details become available.
Class of 2021, this has been a challenging year. I am looking forward to celebrating with you safely on May 1 at this iconic venue.
Sincerely,
Paul Condrin
Interim President and Board Chair
