The Center for Women and Business at Bentley University will present its seventh annual career advancement conference for professional women in the first decade of their careers on Friday, June 8, 2012, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the LaCava Conference Center.
This intensive one-day conference, “Gearing Up: Take the Lead,” includes a keynote address by Betsy Myers, founding director of the Center for Women and Business, leadership expert, and author of Take the Lead: Motivate, Inspire, and Bring Out The Best In Yourself and Everyone Around You. Attendees will participate in two (out of five) interactive, skill-building workshops offered by prominent management experts and consultants.
The day will also feature a luncheon presentation by Karol Rose, principal of FlexPaths, an organization that offers resources for flexible work solutions. Rose will speak on how world-class companies can enhance business results by creating and leveraging a flexible workforce, and how women can strive to fully integrate life and work.
The day will end with brief networking session and a vigorous panel discussion. Panelists include accomplished business women who will share experiences along their own professional journeys. The panel is unique in that it presents three pairs of women; each pair is from the same organization—one senior executive and one middle-level executive.
