Bentley University has named David Perry as Chief Marketing Officer. Perry has more than 20 years of experience in brand management, strategic marketing and communications across a broad spectrum of industries including healthcare, high tech, and consumer packaged goods. He joins Bentley from Seattle Children’s Hospital & Research Institute, where he served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
“With an impressive breadth of experience and expertise, David will be a significant asset to Bentley’s leadership team, and a critical player in launching Bentley’s strategic imperatives moving forward,” said Bentley President Gloria Cordes Larson.
In his new role at Bentley, Perry will lead and advance the marketing, branding, and communications strategy and programs for the university, responsible for developing a comprehensive, strategic communications plan while working collaboratively with constituencies across the university.

Most recently, Perry developed and led the rebranding of Seattle Children’s to align its strategic brand with organization vision, growing research, and foundation entities. The re-branding effort supported the institution’s rising reputation in world class clinical pediatric care and national pediatric research rankings. His experience also includes a decade of service in marketing and management roles at Microsoft in the U.S. and abroad, where he developed messaging and launch strategies for multiple Microsoft products. He also managed new and established brands at The Quaker Oats Company and Cranium (now part of Hasbroof Hasbro).
Perry’s experience within higher education includes developing a custom executive education program for Microsoft with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also on the Board of Trustees at Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Seattle University Albers School of Business and Economics. He earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor of arts in business administration from the University of Kentucky. David lives with his wife and two school age boys in Newton, Massachusetts.
