Career Fair

University Career Services hosted more than 1,000 students, 122 companies and 300 recruiters at the fall 2011 Career Fair held October 5 in the Dana Athletic Center.

“Our students made us so proud,” says Susan Brennan, managing director of university career services. “Every employer raved about how confident, competent and professional they were, and it illustrates how much care our students put into their preparation and presentation.”

Students looking for internships or full-time employment attended the fair and met with representatives from a wide range of companies  including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Constant Contact, , Dunkin Brands Inc, EMC, Liberty Mutual, Mercer Consulting, New England Revolution, Radio Disney, Sun Life Financial, TJX and the Big 4 accounting firms.

Feedback from the companies attending the Career Fair was extremely positive. According to one employer, “I just wanted to pass on to you how impressed we were with the career fair.  Everything from the organization, to the layout and, most importantly, how prepared the students were, was the best we've seen so far this fall.  As I'm sure you are aware, this was our first visit.  We look forward to many return visits.”

Brennan also credits the event’s success to the behind-the-scenes work of the entire Bentley community and the diligence of the Career Services and Recruiting staff.  For months prior to the event, the staff coordinated employer booths, conducted thousands of resume reviews, and held hundreds of individual counseling appointments.
