Bentley Freshman Kevin Wivell took his chances on a risky stock and ended up placing in TheStreet (NASDAQ:TST) and the University of Dayton's RISE 14 student investment conference "Next Great StockPickr" Competition. The challenge: Submit a 60-second video pitching any stock that he thought would show the biggest growth over the next year.

“I did some research on a very speculative biotech company I have followed closely for a while now, Sarepta Therapeutics,” he says of his pick. “I really didn’t plan on winning as I chose such a risky investment but figured I wanted to do something to stand out.”

Wivell was honored at RISE 14 (Redefining Investment Strategy Education), held at the University of Dayton March 27 to 29. Check out his winning video.
