Dear students,
As we approach the end of the semester, I want to take a moment to wish each of you a joyous holiday season and a restful winter break. I hope your time away allows you to reflect, relax and recharge for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead next semester.
I also want to share a brief story that highlights the spirit of "good business" that thrives on our campus. You may have seen that earlier this semester, we announced that Bentley is on track to be the first business university in the country to become a certified Fair Trade University. Students from the Bentley Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Center encouraged us to pursue the certification by including the necessary ethical and sustainable practices in our curriculum, research and procurement efforts. Watching these students advocate and collaborate reminded me of the profound impact that ethical and thoughtful business practices can have on our campus and beyond.
This is just one example of how Bentley students are proving that "good business" is more than just an idea. It’s a way of making a positive difference in the world. I am incredibly proud of the innovative and compassionate spirit that each of you brings to our university.
Enjoy your break, and I look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for the new semester.
Warmest regards,
President Chrite
