Dear Bentley community,
When we unveiled our Falcons Forward 2030 strategic plan after a year of community meetings and input, we set a goal for ourselves to grow the university’s revenue by diversifying our executive education, creating non-degree programs in high-growth markets and developing new partnerships that align with our unique Bentley business education.
That’s why I’m pleased today to announce Bentley University’s new executive education partnership with Kuwait College of Science and Technology, in which our talented Bentley faculty will provide Kuwaiti business leaders the knowledge and skills to advance their companies and careers. (You can read a story about it here.)
The first courses will be taught in Kuwait City this fall. Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Paul Tesluk will deliver a certificate “Leadership Accelerator” program, and Cynthia Clark, John W. Poduska Professor of Governance and founding director of the Geneen Institute for Corporate Governance, will teach “Corporate Governance, ESG and the Digital World.” We are planning other leadership and management courses in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, financial technology, entrepreneurship and sustainability that draw upon the expertise of our world-class faculty.
Throughout my career in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and other parts of the world, I’ve been fortunate to see the impact that business education can have to improve societies. This partnership will allow Bentley to do what we do best — extend business knowledge and practices to executives in Kuwait to empower them to make a positive difference in their companies, their country and the Middle East region.
I’d like to thank our faculty and Executive and Professional Education teams for making this partnership with Kuwait College of Science and Technology possible, allowing us to expand our academic offerings to Kuwait and raise our profile in the region.
It’s exciting to see the strategic plan that our community created coming to life in this and other ways, as we continue to evolve our approach and put our university on a strong footing for the next decade and beyond.
Brent
