Visiting Professor of Accountancy Lynford Graham received a 2014 Accounting Horizons Best Paper Award from the American Accounting Association (AAA) for the article, “Integrating Information Technology into Accounting Research and Practice.” This award was presented at the AAA Annual Meeting held in Atlanta, Ga. in August.

According to Professor Graham, the paper addresses advances in subject areas including continuous auditing, XBRL, internal controls theory and practice and information technology auditing. Graham adds, “The paper’s broader appeal may lie in its interweaving of research theory and practical advances and the framework it develops for future analysis and integration of research methodologies.”

The Accounting Horizons Best Paper Award is presented to the best paper published each calendar year. The award winner is selected by online voting open to all Accounting Horizons subscribing members of the American Accounting Association.
