Business ethics issues are on the table as Bentley University students gather for the 17th annual Bentley Business Bowl (BBB) on February 22, 2014, on the Bentley campus. During the university-wide business case competition, student teams will analyze cases that present ethical, business, accounting or auditing dilemmas.
Grouped by class year, teams of four to five students will compete against opposing teams of the same level, presenting solutions to the panel of judges that include business executives, alumni and Bentley faculty and staff. Judging criteria include team dynamics, presentation skills, and responses to questions from the judges. Winners of the case competition in each class will receive cash prizes, up to $350 per person for seniors and graduate students.
The business bowl is presented in partnership with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, along with corporate sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Boston Scientific, Homesite Home Insurance, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Road Scholars and Staples. Donors include Becker Professional Education, Deloitte, EMC, Epsilon, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, KPMG and McGladrey.
The event is managed by the Bentley Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), the President's Office, the Department of Accountancy, and the Office of Corporate Relations.
