Tedx Bentley News!
Dear Bentley Community,
We acknowledge the difficult time many are going through at the moment and hope that everyone is staying safe and doing well in this transition. As you might know, due to these circumstances and Bentley's decision to move classes online, the TEDxBentleyU E-Board has decided to postpone this year's event to the Fall Semester.
Nonetheless, our team wants to continue showing our support to Bentley students and offer engaging online activities during the rest of this semester. That being said, we would like to welcome you to TEDxBentleyU's Weekly Newsletter1 An email with recommendations and tips to fill your week with unique ideas on what to do at home.
Each weekly email will be themed on a designated weekly quote that embodies a conversation we want to spark each week such as friendships, productivity tips, self-care, goal-setting, and more! The theme this week is friendships in social distancing times and the quote we have chosen is:
Apart from this Weekly Newsletter, we will be hosting several instagram challenges to engage the Bentley Community. We encourage all of you to send us a picture of how you are using the extra hour in your day to do the things you've been wanting to for a while, tag us and put the hashtag #FoundMy25thHour. We will posting some of the best on our lnstagram. We will also be shedding a light on Quarantines around the world as an IGTV series and posting real facts to encourage the Bentley Community to become the well-versed leaders we know you are.
We're looking forward to hearing about your opinions in these challenges and hope you enjoy this curated newsletter.
Sincerely,
TEDxBentleyU

TED TALKS ON FRIENDSHIPS IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING
Now we are really connected, but alone. This video (and our current situation) might give viewers a new outlook on in-person connections which we often took for granted. Will we change our in-person communication habits after being forced to connect (and take class) through technology once out of quarantine?

Right now, it may seem like we have all the time in the world; however, once we are able to jump back to our old routines as busy Bentley University business students, we may find it hard to find that pleasure of controlling your free time. Keep Laura's TED Talk in mind when transitioning back into your normal lifestyle (whenever that may be ... hopefully soon). |
