On Wednesday, October 24, The Face of Finance: Designing Usable Financial Systems Conference will be held at LaCava Center on the Bentley University campus from 8:00 to 6:30 p.m. Congressman Barney Frank, the ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee, and Ramit Sethi, the author of the New York Times best-selling book, I Will Teach You to be Rich, will be the keynote speakers.
As business and governmental institutions implement new Wall Street reform and Consumer Protection legislation, the effective delivery of financial information to consumers is key to achieving legislative goals to promote a safer, more stable financial system. Sponsored by Bentley’s Design and Usability Center, the conference will investigate and promote user-centered design methodologies for financial systems and services. Addressing this issue will be speakers from the Center for Plain Language, Fidelity Investments, MassMutual, Wells Fargo, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, as well as professionals from design and gaming studios.
The conference is free to the Bentley community, and is relevant to students and professionals for whom usability is a prime concern: user experience professionals, game developers, behavioral finance researchers, financial information specialists and advisors, and consumer advocates. Register here.
