Dear Students,
As spring semester classes begin, I wanted to take a moment to welcome you back for another semester at Bentley. If you’re joining us for the first time, welcome to our community!
As I look out my office window this morning, I can already see the energy and activity beginning to pick up across campus, and I’m so looking forward to seeing and being part of more of those conversations and interactions in the weeks ahead.
Some of you have moved in already, some will move in over the next couple weeks, and some will continue to join us remotely. As we ease into the semester, I want to thank you for your patience and flexibility. As the spring term begins, I know many things are being asked of you as we continue to do all we can to keep ourselves and our peers healthy. This pandemic and its effects have continued far longer than any of us expected. Booster shots, face coverings, weekly COVID tests – we all wish those were memories by now. Many of you are frustrated, angry and anxious that it’s taking so long. I get it. I am, too.
But the resolve you have shown in getting to this moment will serve you well long after your time as a student has ended. The way you’ve adapted to the challenges the world has thrown your way is admirable and has not gone unnoticed.
This isn’t the start of the spring semester we’d hoped for, but I know brighter days are ahead.
Today, Bentley returns to who and what we’re meant to be. A place to discover new ideas. A place to be challenged and grow our minds. A place, most of all, for learning.
I wish you the best of luck this semester.
Welcome back, Falcons.
