Dear Bentley Community,
It’s hard to believe that the start of the spring semester at Bentley has arrived. Not long ago the campus was buzzing with students moving in for the new academic year. It’s been awesome this week to see students returning, classes re-starting and our campus springing to life once again.
Just halfway through, we’ve already accomplished a great deal together this academic year. We launched the Bentley-Gallup Force for Good survey to better understand the role that Americans think business should play in having a positive impact on society. And we unveiled a new strategic plan, Falcons Forward 2030, that will allow us to continue to lead in business education for the next decade and beyond.
The success of our strategic plan depends on the engagement of our entire community. Falcons Forward 2030 is a broad plan with many facets — enough for everyone to get involved — from its focus on inclusivity and diversity, to bringing Bentley to the next level of excellence in technology and innovation; from expanding our support for student entrepreneurship to enhancing our campus community’s health and wellbeing; and refocusing our efforts on diversifying our graduate and executive education programs. Now that this comprehensive and future-oriented plan has been created, bringing it to life will require the creativity and engagement of our entire community.
This is exciting work, and I encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities to contribute to our success. That may mean participating in a focus group, serving on a committee, thinking creatively about a new program or about how to align your contributions to the university in a way that empowers us to move to the next level of excellence. You know Bentley better than anyone. We need you, and we welcome your ideas.
I was encouraged by all that we accomplished last semester and am proud of the increased connection that our work has given us to create a stronger future for Bentley. I’m excited to see what we will accomplish together this semester, and I hope you are, too.
Most Sincerely,
President Chrite
