Microsoft 365 (M365)

Bentley students receive a school (business) license to M365. You can leverage M365 using web-based products, download MS Office apps to your laptop as well as other computers with a limit of 5 installations.

You retain this license while a student at Bentley. Your M365 educational license will expire approximately 7 months after you graduate.

Transitioning from Google Docs? Learn about the desktop and web versions of Microsoft Word. Includes videos on writing, editing, formatting, printing and sharing your docs for collaboration with others.

Learn to create and edit slides. Insert text, tables, pictures and graphics. Work with video, animation and Audio. And, fine tune your presentation by sharing with other contributors and presenting slide shows.

Microsoft Copilot for the Web

Every student receives access to Copilot using their Bentley credentials. Currently, August 2024, Copilot uses ChatGPT 4 architecture and is considered Copilot Pro. Copilot can be accessed on Bing, Chrome and Edge and you will need to sign in using your Bentley credentials.

This is web only AI. Copilot for M365, which integrates with MS Office products is not available for students. 

Please review Bentley’s Guidelines for AI Usage and refer to your class syllabi to understand the use of, limited use of or prohibitive use of AI for your course work. Faculty members will differ on their approach to the use of AI in their courses and you are responsible for understanding the policy governing each class. If you are not sure, ask.
