Melanie Foley, MBA ’02

Named executive vice president and chief administration officer in 2022, Melanie oversees Liberty Mutual's corporate administration departments and community and philanthropic investments. A member of Liberty Mutual's executive leadership team since 2011, she previous served as executive vice president and chief talent and enterprise services officer. Joining the company in 1996 as an account executive, she has led the company’s global talent, DE&I, procurement, communications, real estate and sustainability functions as well as strategic services for the enterprise. She drove the implementation of market-competitive workplace flexibility and leave policies, diversity and inclusion practices, and modernized, best-in-class employee compensation and benefit offerings resulting most recently in Liberty Mutual being named to Forbes’ Best Places to Work for Diversity (2019), Fortune’s Best Places for Diversity (2019), Forbes’ Best Workplaces for Women (2020), and PEOPLE magazine’s 2019 “50 Companies That Care” lists. A founding board member of WorkGrid Software, LLC, she serves as trustee for the Boston Medical Center, where she reportedly doubled fundraising results for the annual Catwalk for BMC Cancer Care, serving as Co-chair since 2014. Foley is a current member of the Massachusetts Women’s Forum.
