KPMG CEO Paul Knopp shares insights with campus community

Paul Knopp, U.S. chair and CEO at KPMG, visited Bentley for a conversation about the evolving accounting profession — including certified public accounting (CPA) requirements and artificial intelligence (AI) — and the outlook for college graduates entering the field. Knopp talked with small groups of students and professors in their classrooms before joining President Chrite for a President’s Speaker Series discussion with the larger campus community.

During the discussion, Knopp emphasized the importance of listening and lifelong learning, no matter one’s role in an organization. “Growth mindset is more than just about growing your technical capabilities,” he said. “It’s growing your digital capabilities, your interpersonal capabilities, your relationships, your knowledge about a diverse world that still is highly reliant upon connections between economies.”

Noga celebrated as 2024 Woman to Watch by MassCPAs

The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MassCPAs) recognized Professor Tracy Noga with a 2024 Women to Watch Experienced Leader Award. The annual awards recognize women who have made outstanding contributions to the accounting profession, their communities, their firms or companies and to the development of women as leaders.

“In addition to being an outstanding educator, Tracy has deeply influenced the profession through her leadership and committee involvement in every major professional organization and her extensive publications in both academic and practitioner journals,” says MJ Potvin, one of several Bentley colleagues who nominated Noga. “The seeds of knowledge she has planted will have a positive impact on the profession for years to come.” Learn more by using the link below to view the tribute video shared during the awards ceremony.

Honors Program selects Wolf as 2024 Business Faculty of the Year

Each year, undergraduate students in Bentley’s Honors Program recognize faculty members who go above and beyond to support Falcons in and outside the classroom. In 2024, students honored lecturer and Double Falcon Lynn Wolf ’88, MBA ’00 as Business Faculty of the Year.

Wolf, who began teaching full-time at Bentley in 2020, makes it a point to provide personal and professional insights gleaned from her successful, 30-year corporate career. “I try to take what’s in the textbook and line it up with what’s going on in the corporate world, so it’s more than just words in a book,” she says. “I share what I’ve learned so my students are one step ahead of where I started out.”
