  • The end of November is a good time to contact your faculty and start collecting for your administrative assistant’s holiday gift.
  • Check with your faculty on the status of necessary classroom visits/evaluations.
  • Get ready for the end-of-the-semester department email which generally gets sent out shortly after the Thanksgiving break.
  • November and December - Chairs meets with BSC to discuss January forecast and FY25 budget.

December 2024

  • Review of Summer Grant Requests
  • Fall and Summer Course Scheduling discussions begin. In preparation for scheduling, reach out to your faculty for their fall schedule preferences, keeping in mind the need to teach the Discovery Seminar. Your Associate Dean will reach out to you with guidance on scheduling.

• While sabbatical applications are not due to Chairs until July 1, you may find it helpful to start talking to your faculty this spring to get a sense of sabbatical plans and to encourage them to perhaps share a draft of their application with you before July 1 so that you can offer them some helpful guidance.
