Curricular Philosophy
Faculty should seek to develop and support curriculum development and delivery consistent with Bentley’s overall mission of providing a transformative business education, integrated with the arts and sciences, that inspires and prepares ethical leaders who will confront the challenges of today and shape the opportunities of tomorrow. To this end, contributions to the curriculum should be future-focused, complementary to and/or enhance existing curricular offerings, and aligned with an integrative, transformative business education. Above all, curriculum design should embrace best practices to ensure strong student outcomes.
Overview of Governance
All proposed curricular changes go through a governance process regardless of student level (Undergraduate, Graduate, Ph.D.) and the process is similar across those student levels; changes are submitted through CourseLeaf, then reviewed by faculty committees. These include:
- Curriculum Implementation Committee (CIC) - Undergraduate
- Graduate Curriculum, Graduate Council – Graduate
- Ph.D. Council - Ph.D.
For information regarding curricular changes to the Ph.D. program, please consult the Ph.D. program director. For specific information on governance and processes for Undergraduate or Graduate (Masters') Curriculum, please select from the links below.
