Bentley Library by the Numbers - 2024 Infographic

The Bentley Library is excited to present the newest edition of Bentley Library by the Numbers! This infographic highlights some of the most fascinating insights into library usage, including study room reservations, peak times at the Reference Desk, and the number of visitors to the library. Drawing on data from the 2024 calendar year, it offers a snapshot of the resources we offer and how the Bentley community engages with the library and makes use of our collections.

LIBRARY USE: 321,678 visitors; October is the busiest month with 47,308 visitors; 5,516 items borrowed; 29,464 study room reservations. RESEARCH AND INSTRUCTION: 2,418 questions answered at the reference desk, with 77% answered in person, 9% answered via email, 9% answered via chat, 4% answered via phone, 1% answered via Zoom, and 0% answered via text; Busiest time at the Reference Desk is Mondays at 10:00am; 180 classes and workshops taught. COLLECTIONS: 158,984 print volumes; 575,226 ebooks & audiobooks; 115,202 full-text online newspapers & journals; 130,383 streaming films; 161 research databases.
