Books for Black History Month and Beyond

Celebrate Black History Month with books that amplify the history, culture, contributions, and stories of Black people in America. Browse our Black History Month virtual display and online collections for books by Black authors and books that honor Black voices and experiences. Check something out to read now and add a few items to your list to keep celebrating Black History Month throughout the year.
- Start with the Black History Month virtual display, which features more than 150 fiction and nonfiction books and audiobooks. Browse online and login to your library account to place a hold on whatever catches your eye or to pin items to save them for later.
- Explore two OverDrive/Libby special collections that are stocked with ebooks and digital audiobooks that you can download for easy reading and listening:
- Celebrate Black History Month features biographies, autobiographies, and memoirs
- African American Voices presents a selection of titles that highlight African American voices and stories. Both nonfiction and fiction are included.
