
Disability Awareness Week Display & Resources from Student Accessibility Services and the Library

March 3–March 7 is Disability Awareness Week at Bentley!
The library is excited to collaborate with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) on a curated display of books, essays, poetry, and films that highlight the voices of disability and explore the history and future of disability rights and activism. Visit the library lobby this week to browse the display and informational materials provided by Student Accessibility Services.

- Monday March 3: Disability Awareness Information Table
Come by the Lower Cafe from 10am-1pm, sign the Disability Awareness Pledge and the first 75 people will receive a free t shirt! You can also sign the pledge online right now. Hayley Ruff RD, LDN, Bentley Dining’s Campus Dietitian will also be available during this time to discuss and answer any questions about food allergies, dining accommodations, and nutrition at Bentley. - Tuesday March 4: The Differences Between High School and College
Join Student Accessibility Services via Zoom from 7-8pm as we review the differences in accommodations between high school and college. - Wednesday March 5: Digital Accessibility Brown Bag Lunch Discussion
Bring your lunch and join Steph Bohler and Andy Twomey for lunch and a chat about digital accessibility in LAC 325AB from 12-1pm. - Wednesday March 5: Drop-In Hour at the Career Development Center
Lisa Dinsmore, Associate Director of Undergraduate Career Development Center, will be hosting a drop-in hour from 2-3:20pm for students who have questions about disability and career placement. Want to know about employees that are neurodiverse-friendly? Do you have questions about disclosing your disability to an employer? Want to learn more about how to navigate a career fair? Then drop by and see Lisa! - Thursday March 6: Panel Discussion
Join SAS, Guilherme Costa and the Counseling Center for a panel discussion about disability and Bentley moderated by Jeff Funk - refreshments will be served! You can find us in LAC 375AB from 1-2pm.
