On Display: Boston Beyond 100 Words
April 11, 2022
Inspired by the RSM Gallery’s “Boston in 100 Words” exhibit, the library brings you Boston Beyond 100 Words, a display of books set in Boston.
This curated collection includes true accounts of historical events, pivotal people, beloved sports teams, landmark places, infamous criminals, and unsolved mysteries. You’ll also find classic novels, contemporary and historical fiction, mysteries and thrillers, short stories, poetry, and even cookbooks, many of which have been penned by local authors. The common thread that runs through these pages is that each story unfolds in the city of Boston and its surrounding communities.
One of our favorite discoveries is the memoir “Running the Books: The Adventures of an Accidental Prison Librarian”, but whether you’re a Boston sports fan, cultural aficionado, social activist, history buff, true crime reader, or just looking for something new and interesting to read, we think you’ll find a Boston story that may surprise you!
Please visit the library’s lobby to browse and borrow, or view a list of the books in our catalog.
