On Display: Legendary Characters: Myths and Superheroes
October 3, 2022
Mythologies offer insights into human nature and each culture's beliefs about the world. Many contemporary authors, artists, and cartoonists are building new narratives on the foundations of myth to offer a shift in perspective.
We've assembled a collection of books, audiobooks and DVDs whose subject matter and authorship span the centuries from bardic times to the present day. Ancient Greek adventures, glorious epics, fabled worlds, the feats of modern superheroes -- all are represented in this collection of legend and lore.
Browse and borrow the print titles in the library lobby, or check out ebooks and audiobooks in our online OverDrive collection. You can also view a list of the books in our catalog.
This book display is in conjunction with the RSM Gallery exhibit "We are the Foos" featuring artwork by Bentley alumnus Jonathan Yu (a.k.a. Johnny Haiki) B.S. '18, MBA '19. (The black-and-white panel in the graphic above features a sneak peek of Haiki's work!) The exhibit runs from October 20-December 2.
