Transfer Checklist Items

Congratulations! Now that you’ve been admitted to Bentley University, here are a few things that you’ll need to do in order to officially become a Bentley Falcon.

Transfer Students entering in the fall of 2019

  1. Submit your enrollment deposit:
To reserve your place in our incoming class, submit your enrollment deposit through BentleyConnect, mail, or money wire. Once your deposit has been submitted, be sure to review your Enrolled Student Checklist on the student portal.
    • Deposit Deadline: Refer to the date in your admission letter or log in to BentleyConnect.
    • After you have committed to Bentley, please refer to the Transitions brochure for important enrollment information. This will be sent to you in the mail and posted to your student portal in mid-May.

  2. Send credentials for transfer credit consideration:
Shortly after you receive your admission decision, you will receive a tentative transfer credit evaluation. If you have additional credit-related documentation you’d like to have reviewed, please submit it no later than October 15, 2019. Please review our policies, qualifying exams, required credentials and qualifying scores to apply for transfer credit or advanced standing credit.

  3. Attend Registration & Orientation:
    • New Student Orientation will begin on August 21, 2019.
    • For additional details about the fall course registration process, visit Office of Academic Services.
    • Resident students will move in just prior to Orientation and commuter students should plan to check in between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Please visit the Transfer Orientation page on the Campus Life website for additional information.

  4. International Students Additional Document:
    • If you require a student visa (F-1) to attend Bentley, you must submit the following items:
      • The Student Sponsor Form and Certification of Financial Resources Form in order for a form I-20 to be issued.
        • Due to regulations in some countries that limit the amount of money that may be sent to the United States, it is important to inquire if this would apply to your country.  Our Center for International Students and Scholars can assist you in preparing your documentation for visa issuance.
      • A photocopy of your Passport Page with biographical information. If you are studying in the United States, please submit a copy of your pages 1 and 3 of your I-20 form and student visa.  We recommend scanning this information and then emailing it to ugadmission@bentley.edu.

For additional information, please refer to the New Student Guide or New Student Portal.
