More than Mentorship: How Sponsorship gets you into the ‘Room Where it Happens’

Join Management faculty member Dr. Amanda Sargent, to learn about the importance of finding and leveraging a “sponsor” and why this more active kind of mentorship is important for advancing women in their careers.  Tips for identifying, advocating to, and even becoming a sponsor yourself will be shared in this interactive introduction to intentional social networking.

Be a Force: Strengthen Your Voice to Amplify Impact

Join Professor Brandy Chetsas to hear why a foundation in good business prepares next-gen leaders for both professional success and personal fulfillment. This session explores what it means to have a voice in the workplace, potential barriers faced when trying to leverage that voice, our responsibility to speak (especially when it is difficult to do so), and what it means to acknowledge and elevate the voices of others.  Discussion will include ways to help define and strengthen your own voice and #BeAForce for good business.

The Women in Business Summit was a great way to meet current Bentley students and learn how the university empowers young women and instills confidence in students. I left this event inspired and energized.

Are You Ready to Be a Force?

We have the choice to be a force. A force that can push and pull. That can speak, even without talking. To be a force that brings us back and moves us forward. To be forces that can do good, that can do business, and do both. There are forces in this world. The question is, what kind will you be?
