How We Support Your Career
Take charge of your career! We will support you with learning, networking and upskilling opportunities and with programs and events.
Bentley graduate students work one-on-one with our career coaches. Our career coaches are knowledgeable and connected to industry trends, so they understand what employers want.
We have 21k+ McCallum Graduate School of Business alumni (including almost 6K double Falcons!), and another 43K Bentley alum. Our alumni actively engage with our students via our many networking events, employer panels, industry events, Alumni in Residence, and career fairs.
The McCallum School of Business is located in a robust and diverse employment environment. Learn about Massachusetts-based industries!
For all students, go to Graduate Academic Advising to learn more about the internship for credit process. For international students, go to CISS for information on visa requirements for academic internships.
After a student meets with Graduate Academic Advising and (if needed) CISS, then GCD career coaches are available to support your internship search.
We have gathered a list of employers who have hired Bentley students for internships in the past few years. This document can be found on Handshake.
We offer 2 assessments - CareerLeader, a comprehensive approach to a business career self-assessment, and offer Gallup Strengthsfinder, to discover what you naturally do best and turn your talents into strengths to maximize your career potential.

Welcome to the beginning of your career journey! Each graduate student must complete their GCD Career Pre-Work (note that GCD stands for Graduate Career Development). This GCD Career Pre-Work positions you for career success as you develop greater self-awareness, and craft or fine-tune your professional presentation of self to alumni and employers.
If you are attending orientation, please complete the work by then, as it will be referenced during orientation. If your enrollment was delayed and you are not attending orientation, please complete the Career Pre-Work as soon as possible, preferably before classes start.
You will find the details on your GCD Career Pre-Work on Handshake, our career management platform. You will receive an email invitation to join Handshake from your Career Coach. But you can also access Handshake using your new Bentley email. Once in Handshake, complete your Career Profile and then find Resources on the left side menu list and filter your search by GCD. You will scroll through our resources (there are many available for you!) until you find GCD Career Pre-Work. That is where you should begin. Good luck and please contact GCD@bentley.edu if you have any questions.
