Prioritizing Sustainability at Bentley University
May 25, 2021
Bentley University’s Office of Sustainability is committed to support sustainable business leadership in the classroom and community, educating students to consider "the social and environmental impacts of business decisions along with the economic results." In this blog you will find sustainability resources available for students built into the classroom and beyond.
Who are we?
Bentley's Office of Sustainability was established in 2010 and has made significant strides for Bentley to increasingly become a more sustainable institution. The department aims to lead by example, preparing students to prioritize sustainability efforts while involved in the community and apply what they've learned to lead in their future career endeavors.
What have we achieved?
Bentley University has been named one of the most "environmentally responsible" colleges in the country by the Princeton Review. As part of this work, the Office of Sustainability explores, discusses, and educates the campus community on the intersectionality of social justice, racial justice and climate justice. Bentley's sustainability efforts are not just actions of a small group of administrators but the accomplishments of the entire community with collaboration and enthusiasm among students, faculty and staff.
Community Event Example:
A crash course on the intersection between environmental and racial justice movements. Led by Evann Welty, student sustainability leader.
