All applicants are considered for merit scholarship, and awards are communicated with the admission decision.

Grants & Loans

Bentley Graduate Need Grant

Available only to full-time domestic students (defined as those earning at least nine credits per semester), who meet filling deadlines and demonstrate sufficient need, the Bentley Graduate Need Grant is designed to supplement federal loans and does not need to be repaid. Students in the Falcon Fast-Track program are required to file a CSS Profile Form with their parents’ information to be considered for need-based financial assistance. Learn More

Federal Stafford Loan

The federal government allows domestic students to borrow up to $20,500 annually for each academic year at a fixed percent interest rate. Though interest will accrue, students with a minimum of 4.5 credits per semester can defer payments until 6 months after graduating (or dropping below the 4.5 credit minimum).

Bentley automatically processes students’ Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan for the amount shown on their award notifications, unless students notify Bentley that they will decline or reduce the amount of the loan.

First-time Stafford Loan applicants are required to complete loan counseling to understand their rights and responsibilities as borrowers. Counseling can be completed at the StudentLoans.gov website. Failure to complete loan counseling may result in the cancellation of a student’s loan.

International Student Financing

Bentley offers flexible international student loans through our partnership with Prodigy Finance. Prodigy is a reputable lender servicing international students seeking graduate-level education opportunities, providing a valuable funding resource without worrying about collateral or requiring a co-signer.

Other potential financing opportunities include MPower and Paras.

Yellow Ribbon Service

Bentley is pleased to recognize the service and contributions of our veterans and their families by participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Each year, Bentley offers five $4,000 awards to eligible graduate students.

Graduate Assistantships

Departmental Assistantship

Departmental assistantships are one-year positions within specific academic or administrative departments that typically operate as staff members who work a varying number of hours based on the duties of the role.

Assistants are selected by the assigned department in consultation with Graduate Admission. Departmental assistantships include both a scholarship and work component and replace any prior merit award.

A small number of departmental assistantships are granted each term to newly admitted students in the HFID program and students selected to work in the Bentley Athletics department. These students work closely with the program director in supporting the work of the User Experience Center or work with the Bentley Athletics department, typically in an assistant coach or other leadership roles.

Graduate Assistantship

A limited number of graduate assistantships are available for highly qualified full-time students entering a fall term and are awarded primarily based on academic profile and STEM competencies, as well as the appropriate match of the student with an available opportunity. These one-academic-year assistantships come with partial tuition remission in the form of a merit scholarship and a stipend in exchange for a 15-hour per week work commitment. Qualified admits who have indicated an interest in a graduate assistantship are automatically reviewed for consideration and notified by a letter of admission.

Service Learning & Civic Engagement Grad Assistantship

Qualified students nominated by Bentley Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Center each academic year for one year. The award amount is tuition remission awarded as a Dean's Leadership award with a work component funded by BSLCE. Learn more
