Interim Housing
Interim housing is available for current undergraduate students who are:
- Taking a May intensive course
- Graduating seniors who are not attending the Bahamas trip but need housing during the week leading up to Commencement
- Applying for summer housing and need to stay on campus between the spring and summer sessions
There are two options for interim housing based upon the above criteria:
Interim Housing, Option 1 (students not staying for summer housing)
- Dates: May 9 – May 18
- Costs $400.00 and will be located in Miller Hall. A limited meal plan is required and is included in the cost.
Interim Housing, Option 2 (only students staying for summer housing)
- Dates: May 9 – May 26
- Costs $650.00 and will be located in the Miller Hall for at least the first week; students will transition to summer housing assignments in Orchard South on or after May 19 (exact date TBD). A limited meal plan is required and included only for May 9 through 18 and is included in the cost.
For both interim housing options, students will remain in their spring housing assignment for the nights of May 9 and 10, and then they will transition to Miller Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. All rooms in Miller Hall are double occupancy and students living in interim housing should expect to have a roommate. There is an option in the application to request a specific roommate (requests must be reciprocal).
Seniors who are participating in the Bentley in the Bahamas trip do not need to request interim housing, as they will automatically be provided housing before/after the trip included and in the cost of the trip.
Seniors who are not participating in the Bentley in the Bahamas trip but need housing for the interim week do need to request interim housing and will be charged the rate listed above.
Summer Housing
Summer housing is available during both academic sessions (Summer 1 and Summer 2) for current undergraduate students who are:
- Taking summer courses at Bentley
- Working at a job or internship in the Boston area
- Working an on-campus job at Bentley
Students will be able to choose whether they need housing for session 1, session 2, or both. All summer housing will take place in Orchard South. Because these are full apartments with kitchens, there will be no summer meal plan offered. Students will be responsible for buying and preparing their own food.
Information about summer housing dates and rates:
Summer Session 1: Sunday, May 26 – Tuesday, July 9
- Single Occupancy Rate (Limited Availability): $2,360.00 per person
- Double Occupancy Rate: $2,045.00 per person
- Student Employee Double Occupancy Rate: $500.00 per person*
Summer Session 2: Sunday, July 7 – Tuesday, August 20
- Single Occupancy Rate (Limited Availability): $2,360.00 per person
- Double Occupancy Rate: $2,045.00 per person
- Student Employee Double Occupancy Rate: $500.00 per person*
Orchard South apartments each accommodate five (5) students, containing two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. Students will be able to note any specific roommate/suitemate requests in the application, as well as indicate whether a single or double room is their top preference. Single room availability is very limited so we may not be able to accommodate all requests for a single.
*Students working an on-campus job over the summer (must be working for Bentley) will receive a discounted housing rate. This option is available for double bedrooms only, and employment will need to be verified by the student’s supervisor. The discounted rate is contingent upon Bentley employment status, and any changes to that status during the summer may result in adjustments to the student’s housing charge.
Please note that summer housing is only available for current Bentley undergraduate students.
Application
To apply for interim and/or summer housing, please log into the Housing Portal and complete the 2024 Interim and Summer Housing Application, located under the “forms and applications” menu.
The application will allow you to select whether you are requesting interim housing, summer housing, or both. If you are requesting summer housing, you will then specify which summer session(s) you will need housing. You can also list any specific roommate requests for interim and/or summer housing. All roommate requests must be reciprocal, meaning all parties involved must request each other in their application. We will do our best to honor roommate requests whenever possible.
The application is due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024. Please make sure to log into the Housing Portal and complete the application by that time if you would like to request interim and/or summer housing.
