New Falcon Experience

Getting Started

To ensure your smooth transition to Bentley, we utilize a tiered approach called the New Falcon Experience, which includes:

  • Participate in the Bentley Beginnings Online Orientation
  • Complete your New Student Checklist tasks
  • Attending New Falcon NESTworking events
  • Participate in Advising Prep and Course Registration
  • Complete your self-guided learning courses
  • Participate in the on-campus Orientation program

The New Falcon Quick Guide, Bentley Connect, Workday, Campus Groups and this site are resources you'll access to complete your New Falcon Experience.

Set up your Bentley email account

To begin any of your New Student Checklist tasks, you must set up your Bentley email account. If you have not received instructions, please contact helpdesk@bentley.edu

Please note, that it tasks 2-3 business days after you've signed the Acceptable Use Policy and deposited to receive these instructions.

Important Resources

Technology is an essential part of your Bentley experience. You will be introduced to different tools, resources and apps for use both in and out of the classroom. Bentley has a dedicated team at the IT Help Desk that can help you to navigate any potential challenges or questions.

  • MyBentley Your hub to access important portals, tools, helpful links and announcements.
  • Workday The campus-wide system students use to view information and access tools related to personal and contact information, financial aid, student account information, academic records, academic planning and records and course registration.
  • Microsoft 365 Provided to all Bentley students, containing a suite of Microsoft applications that can be accessed via the internet.
  • Outlook Email and Calendar Provides the ability for you to store and sync your email, calendar and contact information across all your devices.

You can purchase a HP or Lenovo computer that meets Bentley’s recommended standards at educational pricing.  Learn how and why to purchase a Bentley recommended computer through Bentley’s Computer Purchase Program.

If you plan to bring a computer to campus that you did not purchase through Bentley’s Computer Purchase Program, it must meet Bentley’s minimum standard computer configuration.

On-campus computer repair services are available for both warranty and non-warranty computer repairs.

Bentley does not recommend the use of a Mac computer and cannot guarantee compatibility with Windows-only applications used in certain courses. Departments include Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance and several general business core courses. In most cases, students with Macs will need to purchase and install software to use Windows-only applications to complete course requirements. Installing virtualization software is both time consuming and requires advanced technical knowledge to install on your Mac computer.

Bentley has a dedicated staff who provide you with any financial services help you need throughout your Bentley experience. This includes financial assistance, information on billing, student employment and more.

  • Understanding your financial investment is important. There are a variety of resources to help support, including our Financial Aid Guide and FAQ.
  • We offer payment options and plans including a semester payment plan. Additionally, students can set up third party access whereby family members can make payments.

Students and third-party users can access semester billing statements via the Finances application in your Workday account. You can also enroll in the payment plan in Workday. If someone other than you (i.e. a parent) is expected to make student account payments (including payment plan installments), you must establish access for them via Workday. Parents and/or guests are able to log in to view bills and make online payments through an account that you create for them. Fall tuition bills will be available to be viewed during mid July. Spring tuition bills will be issued the beginning of December.

BENTLEY UNIVERSITY PAYMENT PLAN

The university provides the option of an installment payment plan for each semester, with a $35 enrollment fee for each term. The fall plan runs between August and November and the spring plan runs between December and March. The number of installments is based on when the student enrolls in the payment plan. The due date is the 15th of the month.
