Grant from Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange Allows Bentley to Explore History of Chinese Medicine

Leading scholars from around the world will gather at Bentley to discuss key texts in the history of Chinese medicine as a preparatory step in the editing of the Handbook of Chinese Medical Literature. Bridie Andrews, associate professor of history, will use a $24,820 conference grant from the Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange to organize the conference “Understanding Chinese Medical Literature” for August, 2012.

New Gerald R. Ferrera Service Fellowship Focuses on Bentley Student Internships at Non-Profits in the U.S. and Abroad

The Gerald R. Ferrera Service Fellowship, established in honor of the popular and committed professor of Law at Bentley, is designed to encourage student internships at non-profit organizations. The program will provide a stipend for two fellows each year to pursue work at non-profit organizations, government agencies and NGOs in the United States and abroad. The first fellows will be selected in spring 2013 for service during the summer.

Consumers Keen on Energy Codes, According to Survey by Bentley University Students

A group of Bentley University students teamed up with nonprofits Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI) and Consumers Union (CU) to survey consumer perceptions of energy codes, which are minimum requirements that builders must meet in order to ensure that homes comply with energy efficiency standards.
