Issues surrounding sustainable malaria interventions in Africa were on the agenda May 20 as Bentley hosted the African Malaria Dialogues group for a workshop of scholars from Bentley, MIT, Boston University, Harvard, Yale, Columbia and industry and NGO representatives.

Bentley graduates are armed with superpowers, thanks to Bert and John Jacobs, brothers and co-founders of the Boston-based Life is good (LIG) company. The dynamic duo addressed approximately 1,000 Bentley University undergraduate students at the 94th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2013.

Bentley has continued strong efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and received two recent accolades for its sustainability practices: inclusion in The Princeton Review’s list of top environmentally responsible colleges in the U.S. and Canada, and winning the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2012-2013 College & University Green Power Challenge for using more green power than any other school in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Commencement is Saturday, May 18, 2013.

The graduate ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m.

As the Bentley community continues to offer sympathy, prayers and support to all of those affected by Monday’s tragic events during the Boston Marathon, please remember there are a variety of resources available on campus.

As part of a university-wide effort to prevent sexual violence and continue to promote community safety and wellness, Bentley staff and students recently hosted the fifth annual “Consent Day.”

Moran will deliver the keynote address and receive an honorary doctor of commercial science degree at the ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. on the south campus.

In the 2013 “Best Undergraduate Business Schools” rankings by Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Bentley University ranks at #20 overall.

The Jacobs Brothers will deliver the commencement address to approximately 1,000 Bentley University undergraduate students on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. on the south campus of Bentley University, with an expected 7,000 in attendance.

A packed room full of students, staff and faculty recently came together to hear from Bentley’s newest partner in learning, Kweku Anno. As a Ghanaian engineer, inventor, social entrepreneur, and global health and sustainability champion, Anno discussed his efforts to improve public health through his company, BioFil.
