President Larson and student Sarah Benson 11'  BS, MBA '12, joined an impressive cast of speakers and performers at the inaugural TEDx New England held at the WGBH studios.

The free  program, “Educated, Trained, Or Called? Moving from a Business Education to a Satisfying Profession,” will be held on Thursday, November 3, from 3:35 to 4:50 p.m. in LaCava 375AB.

Liz Brown, adjunct assistant professor of law, taxation and financial planning, was named the first executive director of the Boston Forum of Golden Seeds, a network of angel investors (affluent individuals who invest capital for business start-ups) dedicated to funding early stage companies founded and/or led by women.

Associate Professor of Marketing Susan Dobscha delivered a keynote at the 3rd Massachusetts Green Career Conference held this fall in Marlborough, Mass. 

Southern Illinois University (SIU) named the new Women’s Basketball locker room complex in honor of former coach Cindy Scott. Scott, who has served as Bentley assistant director of athletics for 14 years, was honored at a ribbon cutting on the SIU campus in October.

Wall Street, social activism, and the economy were fodder for discussion as a panel of faculty members hosted “#OccupyWallStreet: What's it All About?” in the Adamian building on campus.

Culnan will participate in the center’s activities and conduct research with other AU faculty members with common interests. 

Crawford's paper, "Stakeholder Salience Revisited: Enlightening, Balancing and Transcending," provides a model that explains how firms interact with their stakeholders, in particular investigating “who and what matters to a manager.”

University Career Services is shaking up the air waves with a new weekly radio program – “At the Career Lounge” – dedicated to giving students the inside scoop on their job search and potential opportunities. Hosted by Alyssa Hammond and Colleen Murphy, associate directors of undergraduate career services, the show airs Thursdays from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on WBTY Radio Bentley. The program features the latest on career news as well as interviews with experts, employers, and students.

University Career Services hosted more than 1,000 students, 122 companies and 300 recruiters at the fall 2011 Career Fair held October 5 in the Dana Athletic Center.
