During the recent Fall semester, five Bentley University undergraduate students  enrolled in the Human Relations in Healthcare Organizations class led by Natural Sciences Professor Helen Meldrum, were invited to work with Audrey Zabin & Associates and AZA Care Management (AZA), one of the largest health and home care management practices in Massachusetts, located in Boston, MA.  The students were charged with developing a plan to elevate awareness of AZA's services among local baby boomers.

Bertice Berry, best-selling author and award-winning entertainer, lecturer and comedienne, will be the keynote speaker at the 24th annual Celebration for Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., at Bentley University on Tuesday, January 26, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Executive Dining Room, LaCava Center, 175 Forest Street in Waltham. The program is free and open to the public, although reservations are required.  Joining Bentley students and staff who help coordinate the event, Bentley President Gloria Larson will also share her own tribute to Rev. King's legacy.

Bentley Global Studies professor Asbed Kotchikian joins the Armenian Relief Society to launch the newly revamped Youth Connect Program (YCP) on Saturday, February 6, at New York University's Kimmel Center for Student Life in New York City. Kotchikian, who serves as YCP director, helped redesign the program, which offers young Armenian students at colleges in the US an opportunity to participate in workshops on the challenges that students face today, and to hear about internship opportunities in U.S. cities including Washington, D.C., and New York, and abroad in Armenia.

The topic of gendered analysis and its role in climate change has become an important focus for the United Nations and other international agencies, making it a rich topic for exploration and research. The government of Mozambique (Africa) has taken the initiative and asked Bentley University professor Joni Seager to help develop a national strategy and five-year government policy plan to address gender and climate change. Seager will travel to Mozambique several times during the next few months to work with the Environmental Ministry on the project.

Bentley University today announced a unique partnership with Epsilon, the industry’s leading marketing services firm. Epsilon will provide Bentley University’s Center for Marketing Technology (CMT) with its DREAM email platform.

On December 2 in the Trading Room at Bentley University, Eaton Vance and the Boston Companies presented their annual investment performance for $200 million of the Florida-based Jacksonville Police and Fire Pension Fund. In addition to 20 Bentley undergraduate and graduate students who participated, Peter Sleiman, a fund trustee whose son, Paul, attends Bentley, was also on hand for the unprecedented presentation.

The Bentley Police Department has joined forces with the Waltham Police Department for the 8^th annual holiday toy drive for local area families in need. The program kicked off on November 16 and will run through December 19.

Donations of new, unwrapped, non-violent gifts for a boy or girl between the ages of one and 16 may be dropped off at the Bentley University Police Station lobby. Cash donations will be accepted and converted to gift cards for distribution to the families.

All three Bentley teams that competed in the American Collegiate Moot Court Association Eastern Regional Tournament on November 20 placed in the top 20 highest scoring teams and advanced to the second round on November 21. The Moot Court competition requires students to simulate legal argumentation before hypothetical appellate courts.

Twenty-three Bentley students took part in the Annual Minority Business Conference and Student Case Competition on October 17, with six serving on the top three winning teams. Bentley students teamed up with cohorts from UMass and Suffolk University for the competition, which was sponsored by the National Association of Black Accountants Boston Chapter and held at State Street Corporation in North Quincy, Mass.

Bentley senior Amanda Healy received a $2,000 scholarship from the Boston Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Healy will graduate in December with a bachelor's degree in marketing and a minor in information design and corporate communications.
